In an effort to help others be protected from their civil rights being violated, the Frontera Fund was established when a pair of men had been arrested and charged for the release of grand jury information pertaining to a case. After the men were arrested, their case was over turned and the men were released.
After this, the pair of men filed a suite against the county for their false arrest and then was later awarded $3.75 million dollars. When the men won their court case, the started the Frontera Fund which helps others receive help for their civil rights and to offer protection to those in Arizona who are at risk for deportation. After President Trump took office, it took him a short amount of time to offer Sheriff Arpaio a pardon for his role in the case. He spoke highly of the sheriff.
A new endeavor that the men are now undertaking is another website where they will discuss events. Because of the sheriff, and the wrong doings by the sheriff, the people opted to drop him as a sheriff for the seventh term.
Back in July of this year, a judge opted to nick him for the contempt he criminally stemmed from his involvement in the Melendres suit.
Because President Trump is a personal friend of the sheriff, he opted to give him a pardon which would keep him from serving any kind of prison term. Not only is this bad for the two men who were not sparred the same respect but it also allows the sheriff to be able to do what he wishes, without the consequences of doing harm to others. A sheriff’s job is to protect others, he failed this job when he took matters into his own hands.
In an attempt to prevent himself from being charged, the idea has come across where the sheriff endorsed the President which would help him to receive assistance later on. It was in January that he went on to endorse the President, even when others were determined that Trump would not take office. An a last ditch effort to help avoid any consequences, Arpaio was right in his method by offering endorsements to Trump. In a statement offered by the men who were most harmed by Arpaio, they know first hand about his poor duty while on the job however when it comes to being a politician and knowing what it takes to avoid altercations, Arpaio is brilliant.
For Arpaio, he went on record as being someone who stood for the same beliefs as President Trump. He believes that the latinos who are in the country are dirty individuals and he is considering his term of being compared to a member of the KKK, he takes pride in what his enemies are calling him.
When it is all said and done, the thinking of Arpaio paid off if he was able to receive a pardon from someone as high up as ex-Sheriff Joe Arpaio.
